Ralf Borchert
Since the late 1990’s Ralf’s career has revolved around causing corporate transformation projects designed to optimize the use of resources and enhance performance. In executing this work he has developed into an articulate, compassionate and inspiring Leader, an expert Trainer, a remarkable Speaker and an astute and savvy Negotiator.
Since his apprenticeship at the world renowned Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, he has been managing resources, both Human and others throughout is career and brings to the role a practical deep and broad based international experience gained from working in various industries and disciplines.
He has an in-depth track record of planning implementing and leading global group-wide initiatives that deliver a quantifiable competitive advantage. His initiatives leave companies with systematic group wide processes and best practices supported by training and education systems to sustain the desired outcomes.
He possesses extensive experience in planning and managing resources and understands risk and opportunity and how to capitalize on both. He is able to confidently respond to all market conditions and create positive outcomes.
Further he unlocks the most entrenched personnel issues and creates solutions that forward the fundamental concerns of all involved, enabling an organization and its people to step outside adversarial roles and see the organization as a unified team.
Whilst head of procurement with both the Mandarin Oriental and Peninsula Hotels, he was accountable for identifying and unlocking untapped value. His direct involvement with the supply market transformed how the group’s budget owners and purchasing staff conducted themselves individually and in collaboration, which lead to a fundamental shifting of mindsets and results.

Ralf was raised and educated in Germany and Hong Kong, with his secondary schooling at the German Swiss International School. After earning a Diploma from the Steinberger Hotel School in Bad Reichenhall, Germany, he consolidated his training with a three-year program at the world renowned Hotel Vier Jahrezeiten, rising from Food and Beverage trainee to Executive Assistant Manager during his tenure.
Following his return to Asia, Ralf rose through the ranks to senior corporate executive and consulting positions at blue chip companies including Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and The Peninsula Hotels.
Since 2005 Ralf has also been working and gaining training and leadership experience with Landmark Education, a global leader in the field of training and development specializing in coaching and empowering people and businesses to achieve breakthrough results in areas important to them. Ralf produces and manages workshops and leads seminars. Participants vary from captains of industry, entrepreneurs, young people starting their careers and nursing mothers. LE’s corporate clients include Apple Computers, Glaxo Wellcome, Heinz, Mercedes Benz, NASA, SAP, Standard Chartered Bank to name just a few.
